Hi, I'm Rachel! I am a (mostly) self-taught artist, rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Most days you can find me in my art studio working on new ideas, exploring new mediums, and learning new techniques. I have a passion for making things and even more so, for teaching others. I teach art classes to groups and individuals at my art studio space in Eugene, OR called Taking Root Studio. I also host pop-up classes at a few different venues in the Willamette Valley. Whether in a painting-and-sipping class at The Tap and Growler or a private class at my studio, I strive to create a welcoming, calm, and peaceful environment where you can unwind from the busyness of life and let your creativity flow. 

I believe that using our hands and creativity is a vital part of a healthy life. Putting down our screens, picking up a paint brush, and being present for a couple hours can do wonders for your stress levels. No experience is needed for any of my classes.
